The humble Chickweed (Stellaria media) has reappeared on local pavements...if the latin name refers to the starry shape of its flowers, the common name tells us why it's such an important wildlife plant: chickweed is highly nutritious for birds, you may see them pecking at it! 🐦

Big thanks to the small but mighty team of volunteers who planted bulbs (thanks to @abundance), echium seedlings and a lot of flower seeds around the park this morning. Look out for lovely things flowering in the playground, along the back wall, and in the entrance beds in spring
