NEW: A study has demonstrated how clinicians could use data to predict the risk of falls in people with Parkinson’s Disease (PD). Falls are a common for people living with Parkinson’s. Around 60% of all people living with PD experienced at least one fall.

Very pleased to share our latest work. Using machine learning, we show that #Parkinsons related falls can be accurately predicted up to 5 years in advance. This gives us the opportunity to start thinking of effective care planning for enhancing PD management.

In our new OxQUIP paper in npj npj Digital Medicine : 👉 we used different #MachineLearning techniques applied on wearable derived features. 👉 we demonstrated that falls associated with #PD can be accurately predicted up to 5 years in advance.
