Cycling is good for business! People who walk or cycle make more trips to the shops and spend more money. Tell your local shopowners when they oppose cycle lanes or pedestrian streets! HT Cycling UK for the graphic.

This might be one of the funniest attacks by a fellow LTN-er I've received. The idea that complaining about busy roads is... Somehow pro-car.. rip all the LTNs out then and let the traffic go everywhere mate, you crack on.

Trying to cycle to work, can't even get my bike on Belmont Road, on a Sunday evening. Its gridlock from 6am-8pm every day, backed up traffic the rest of the time. Mike Hakata please help Belmont residents-can't sleep for rat runners at night, can't breathe for fumes in the day

We need an action plan for this sewer of a road that we all live on. Outside of LTN chat, this is not working. We won't put up with it anymore. Nobody visiting this road could say it's acceptable for the people living here. Please help us? Healthy Streets Bruce Grove & West Green Mike Hakata 🌹Cllr Seema Chandwani

Hi - I live on Belmont Road N15. It's got high traffic and high footfall, and there's still crime. I would give anything to live on a quieter road where I'm not scared to open a window. No one should live on polluted roads, this is an odd angle even for tories.

My support for this scheme is faltering by the day, and that is because of the hell on my road. Everyones mental and physical health has deteriorated. We warned that leaving Belmont Rd open would result in gridlock and fumes and we were ignored. Mike Hakata please engage with us.

If ever a video has summed up the corrosive effects of traffic on wildlife, it's this. Constant horns, cars severing people and animals. We are so at odds to how we are meant to be living. Life on Belmont Rd, an HTN (high traffic neighborhood) is the pits. Mike Hakata Sarah Williams

Urban traffic jams eat up productive time, pollute the air, nauseate everyone with noise, divide communities and generally make everyone miserable. What’s the point of them? Why not get private cars out of cities?

Seb (@sebspeak) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Great to see this group on twitter! Belmont Rd has such positive potential for our area with its direct park access, school at the bottom, shops & Belmont rec close by, but direct traffic reduction measures are needed to see it. Clean air, reduced noise & safe cycling asap pls!

The huge gaping hole here in LTN monitoring is shifty to say the least. Who made the decision to so closely monitor nice middle class crouch end, but not the council houses of noel park? The pinch point between three LTNs? What does the council not want to see?

This is a beautiful story. One man and his ongoing recovery from depression. More stories like this from men needed. Thank you for sharing πŸ™πŸ½

I've said it before I'll say it again. We're lucky to have a councillor like this. Those who come out against her have got us lot to deal with πŸ™πŸ½πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡·
