Really excited to be heading back to the South Shields Volunteer Life Brigade Watch House next month for the second ever ‘Tyne and Tide Project South’. Had so much fun doing this project last year, learning about South Shields and the life-saving efforts of the Life Brigade!

Our project @themeadowscomm sees groups of students working together to create something inspired by their community. So far we’ve had an exhibition called ‘Bee Connected’ a podcast called ‘Meet Is At Upstairs Toilets’ and 2 sound walks ‘Emotions Of The Garden’ and ‘Giant Tales’

Home Adventures trip #2 took us to TheSillNland with our incredible historian Alex in his 100% historically accurate Roman costume! We learned all about what life would've been like for a Roman soldier on Hadrian's wall all about the wildlife at Northumberland National Park.

Here we come, Great North Run! This year, encouraged and joined by our previous Young Artist in Residence, Jamie, the Hand Of team are stomping their way through the streets of Newcastle! For every 1km we run, we aim to raise 1k! Help up by donating what you can! Link in bio

Another year, another SoundWalk complete! Children worked with professional creatives to produce theatre scripts, game shows, historical raps, ghost stories, music pieces and more! As well as showcasing an art exhibition, we even learnt about spices whilst baking spiced bread!
