We have had our first stop of the day at Thingvellir. The forecast rain is nowhere to be seen. Long may it continue! Next stop: Gullfoss.

Thank you to Guesthouse Húsið for having us! We are now on the way to The Secret Lagoon, known locally as Gamla Laugin, the oldest swimming pool in Inspired by Iceland. (The pitch in the foreground of the beautiful second photo was graced by some football of questionable quality).

We are now back at the hotel in Hafnarfjörður having enjoyed a tour of Reykjavik from our guide, Karen. How lucky we have been with the weather! ☀️

We have just landed at Heathrow Airport, about 20-25 minutes ahead of schedule. Thanks to our Icelandair pilot for showing us the London sights to bring our trip to a close!

We had a wonderful time in Yorkshire last week with Haileybury History. Drawing field sketches at The Drinking Dinosaur at Flamborough Head was one of the many highlights. Check out Dr Koon’s very impressive effort (he knows he still needs to add his labels and annotations!).
