A slightly frustrating start to the trip with a two-hour delay at Heathrow, but we are settled on the plane now! See you soon, Inspired by Iceland!
We are through arrivals and on our way to the hotel. How good it is to be back on Icelandic soil, breathing Icelandic air and conversing with the brilliant Icelandic people! Haileybury HaileyburyCocurricular
Thank you to Guesthouse Húsið for having us! We are now on the way to The Secret Lagoon, known locally as Gamla Laugin, the oldest swimming pool in Inspired by Iceland. (The pitch in the foreground of the beautiful second photo was graced by some football of questionable quality).
Spot the #geographers exploring the plate boundary at the Bridge Between Continents. We are now on our way to Keflavík for lunch before heading to Keflavík Airport (KEF).
We have just landed at Heathrow Airport, about 20-25 minutes ahead of schedule. Thanks to our Icelandair pilot for showing us the London sights to bring our trip to a close!
Our U6 IB geographers had a successful day of data collection at FSC Epping Forest yesterday. Well done to those who came back dry!
We had a wonderful time in Yorkshire last week with Haileybury History. Drawing field sketches at The Drinking Dinosaur at Flamborough Head was one of the many highlights. Check out Dr Koon’s very impressive effort (he knows he still needs to add his labels and annotations!).
Our Removes have recently been developing their field sketch skills while learning about freshwater pond ecosystems. Thank you to Mr Lyon (Thomason House) and Mr Seccombe (Trevelyan Haileybury) for these photos!
Yesterday was all about calculating carbon content, perhaps better known as our ‘tree hugging’ day! Nettlecombe Court
