Crew from Engine 4 made the rounds to various pre-schools this morning to teach about fire prevention and fire safety!

Engine 4 and Squad 1 out at local schools again today doing more fire prevention education! This is a great time of the year to teach your kids fire safety as furnace and chimney fires become more common.

As fire prevention week comes to a close, Engine 4 and Squad 1 made the rounds to a few more local schools to teach your kids how to react to a fire and become familiar with how we look in our gear!

Every year we have trucks from both stations out in neighborhoods handing out candy on Halloween! This year we saw a lot of future firefighters running around. We love our community!

Tanker 1 was dispatched to assist with water supply on this incident. Back in August we conducted joint training with OFD and Springfield for this exact scenario, rural water supply. Strong mutual aid partnerships are essential to serving the community!

Another busy night last night assisting @papiofire with a fully involved structure fire. E4 responded for RIT and T1 responded for water supply along with 3 other agencies. Tomorrow will bring snow for the AM drive. Slow down, lights on, and drive safe in to work!

The Gretna Fire Department wishes its condolences to the Boys Town VFD after the unexpected loss of their chief early this morning. Chief Sing was instrumental in the training and development of countless metro area firefighters in his 48 year career. Rest in Peace 901.

Gretna sq22 transporting one patient code 3 TCC to Bergan with severe lower extremity trauma after being pinned between a truck and forklift at a construction site off 168th/Cheyenne.

Engine 21 Engine 4 and Tanker 1 responded to this incident. Took about 20 minutes to get the fire under control due to leaking fluids igniting. Thankful for these deputies watching our back on the interstate while we work!

E4 and Sq22 had the honor of standing watch over Boys Town Fire Chief Sing until he can be laid to rest tomorrow morning. Us, along with several area departments will also be covering calls for service so our brothers & Sisters at BTFD can be together. #OneFamily
