Parents, PLEASE check ADL campus scorecard. Whether you are Jewish or not, do not send your kids to schools rated D or F. This is hard for me to say as a Swarthmore College alum. But we can't let our kids get tormented because of poor leadership. adl.org/campus-antisem…

Apropos of nothing in particular, just resharing this chart showing why North Sea gas is drying up (we burned it all already)

Energy efficiency is the unsung hero of Europe’s industrial competitiveness. Without efficiency gains since 2000, industry would use 1/3 more energy—costing tens of billions more every year. It’s not just energy prices that matter, but how smartly we use energy.

15 years ago I wrote an article projecting that the rapidly declining costs of #solar snd #wind would make nuclear and even fossil power obsolete. People said I was crazy. And here we are..

I often hear claims that variable renewables (wind and solar) increase electricity prices, but this does not seem to empirically be true. If anything states, with higher renewables have slightly cheaper electricity, though the relationship isn't significant:

The battery boom has begun🔋⚡️ 69 GW were installed in 2024. That's 66% more than in 2023. Battery storage is modular, flexible, fast to deploy and prices are still falling. Its growth trajectory looks more like consumer electronics than traditional infrastructure.

The celebratory reaction to Kirk’s murder on the Left is truly horrifying, and it has led me to this epiphany: the ideology that says “speech is violence” is the same ideology that believes violence is just another form of speech.

Since 1900, humans have cleared 1.1 billion hectares of forest. Forests clean our air, purify our water, and are vital in the fight to address the growing climate crisis. Keep forests standing. #ActOnClimate #climate #deforestation #climateaction #Nature Credit: Elena Doms via
