For context: this is easily the most significant development in the anti mega embassy campaign. Either GOV.UK is looking for reasons to say no, or has given 🇨🇳 a heads up, and wants to look tough. Praying it's the former. We cannot permit this disaster.

Pathetic: an op-ed at South China Morning Post slams my The Guardian interview as “misleading”. Even more pathetic: he claims that “the national security law does not criminalise political advocacy or criticism of the authorities,” while so many people are in prison for exactly that. What a joke.
