A school Superintendent said something profound in his address cancelling school for the next 3 weeks. “In the end, it will be impossible to know if we overreacted or did too much, but it will be QUITE apparent if we under reacted or did too little.” Hear those words my friends.

Things I want the community to understand: 1. I love your child. I will teach them, no matter what. 2. I didn’t have a say in whether we went face to face, hybrid, or virtual. 3. I work countless hours to make instruction happen. 4. This is new to me, too.

We joined the PA Department of Health today to announce a new tool for schools = recommendations on instructional models to consider implementing based on the changing levels of community transmission of #COVID19 in counties across Pennsylvania.

“dO TEacHeRs thINk ThEy ArE beTTeR tHAn nUrseS?” No, but nurses have PPE, limited patient contact, and infectious disease training. I have a couple English degrees, 120 kids, a mask, and a box of Clorox wipes. Please don’t compare us.

Teachers are struggling with online learning. Teachers are struggling with in-person learning, especially with social distancing and masks. But the teachers struggling the most? The ones being asked to simultaneously teach some students online and some students in person.
