In a big decision, NC's Supreme Court just struck down the GOP gerrymander, 4-3. Had Dems not won the 2018 Supreme Court race, this would have gone the other way. 2018 is the year that... the GOP tried to rig the election, only to have it spectacularly backfire. Let's recap.

I asked my class to think of something that made them happy today. One said that a teacher told them “good job” on an assignment and it really made their day. We have the power to uplift or tear down. Choose carefully.

Do educators in other countries sit through training/mtgs about how to respond to an active shooter? Including potential “improvised weapons” and suggestions for how to use them and stats on profiles of typical shooter/shootings? No? Hmmmm.
