We have some travel impacts returning to the state late Wednesday night through Thursday morning. Snow will develop and that *may* create some icing concerns for the areas highlighted here.

The top 7 list of wind gusts tonight is impressive. I also go over the windy forecast and that chance of snow in the article. Have a good night, even though some of you will be hearing too much wind to sleep too well. buff.ly/2FxU9v7

Least snowy season on record now. Stapleton was Denver's official snowfall site from 1950 to 2007. The snowfall data continues, however the official site moved to DIA. Since DIA's snowfall data is only 10 years old, it fails to offer much context historically.

Our next system will move in later this week. For Denver, expect warming temperatures through Thursday. For the state, isolated snow in the central and northern mountains until this next system brings heavier snow.

Watch the snow coming down on the south metro areas. The snowfall is pretty, the impact on the roads won't be so pretty as it will certainly slow drivers on I-25. Snowfall totals may reach up to 2 or 3 inches in many cases for those sitting underneath this current snow-band.

How would you plan to dress if I told you we would have an 83° warm-up in one day. Well, it happened this week in Montana. That's amazing.
