Hey UK gov, I have done everything you asked. Stuck to every rule. Done my one piece of exercise. Led a secondary school. Opened a testing centre. Kept my community safe and happy. Is it too much to ask if you could tell me if I can get married on 17th April? #whataboutweddings

For 400,000 workers, weddings are absolutely ‘work events’ but we didn’t go to them because Boris Johnson told us we couldn’t. We lost all our income while he partied in his garden. Appalling, on every level. #pmqs

To be clear, given I am in the events sector, work parties were not permitted in May 2020. I have colleagues who lost jobs and businesses as were denied the right to work on the planning or organisation of business events. Millions of people across the events industry impacted.
