I’m a housing reporter in LA who is currently looking for housing, and the roadblocks I’m running into are wild. We already know affordability is an issue but the criteria to just be considered is insane, too.

Today DWC celebrated the Women's Voices Board. Reflections and feedback from Denise, Maria, Tyana, Liliana, Amiyoko, Tash, Nathalia, and Mayra have led to many new initiatives at DWC like self-defense workshops, grief workshops, and more community building events.

It's 90° today, and I handed out some frozen water bottles to our unhoused neighbors during my lunch break. A lot of the elderly people are having a really hard time with the heat. Throw some water bottles in your freezer and hand them out. You could be saving a life.
