When I was 11, I was a victim of police brutality just for being Black in America. Now I see that brutality being inflicted on peaceful students at Columbia and across the country.

We must stand with our students to demand liberation for Palestinians and everyone in this world.

Bowman was listening to faculty experiences & observations, then did the same for students after reading community agreements, before AOC arrived.

The arrival of a Proud Boys founder at Columbia makes the situation very clear—right wing extremists are capitalizing on peaceful student protest to serve their own political goals. McInnes has a known history of antisemitism.

I condemn any potential police action on Columbia University's campus. As an educator who personally experienced the over policing of our schools, this is personal to me. We must resist right-wing demagoguery and stop suppressing peaceful protest if we are to keep students safe.

Republican megadonors think they can buy our seats, but the PEOPLE WON'T LET THEM! Congrats to my sister Summer Lee and everyone who is fighting to make democracy work for all.
