The steelworks are part of the civic inheritance for people on Teesside through which they contributed so much to the UK over generations. Those people deserve to know that public money and assets are being used for their benefit. That’s why we need an independent investigation

Very sad and sudden news that Eamonn Boylan has died. Eamonn was a giant of GM’s regional and local government. He didn’t go for the limelight but his impact and contribution was huge. I first worked with him as Deputy of MCC under Sir Howard when I was with NESTA. He always made
