A pleasure this week to welcome a delegation from the Chinese Ministry of Veterans' Affairs to Commonwealth War Graves. Their scale of work is immense, with 20 million falling within their scope, at over 150,000 facilities. It was fascinating learning from each other and sharing approaches

Please watch if you've seen or heard concerns about some Commonwealth War Graves headstones in France and Belgium. This is not dirt but caused by fungus organisms embedding in the stone that were being masked by previous chemical based cleaning. We're on it and will provide weekly updates.

I'm about half way through the typically brilliant Chris Brookmyre work 'The Cracked Mirror' and I'm sure I've worked out what on earth is going on. But I have no way of showcasing my smug deductive brilliance (assuming I'm right).

A very interesting and enjoyable discussion for Elisabeth Shipton and I meeting Adam Jogee MP MP to talk through some of the projects and strategic challenges of the Commonwealth War Graves. Hopefully the first of many!
