📣 Today sees the launch of aspirational assemblies in Gainsborough and district schools. Over 3,000 local children will experience employer encounters that we hope will inspire and raise aspirations. Watch this space for further updates….

📣 We’re now looking forward to welcoming colleagues from local Early Years settings to our latest cluster meeting at Castle Wood Academy tomorrow. We are pleased to confirm that Hanah Randall and Jane Parker, from our Early Help Teams, will be there to offer help and advice! 😊

📣 The recent Better Futures assemblies with West Lindsey DC have been a great success! They have been a good example of how education, the district council and local businesses can come together to improve outcomes.😊

📣 Last week, the second round of Better Futures assemblies with West Lindsey DC began, Hemswell Cliff Primary School Primary School had a visit from two West Lindsey Early Help workers! The children asked some brilliant questions, which showed they’d gained a lot from it. 😊

📣 In the coming year, we will be holding more rounds of aspirational assemblies in Gainsborough and district schools. Students will experience more employer encounters in order broaden their minds and aspirations! Thank you to West Lindsey DC for your continued support! 😊

📣 Community Support Showcase Event – 30th September Many thanks to Gainsborough Academy who hosted the second G.A.P. Community Support Showcase Event last Friday. 😊

✈️ Last week, STEM arranged a visit for local children from St George’s Primary School to visit East Midlands Airport. They had the opportunity to see how the airport and how it operates behind the scenes. It was an amazing experience, and everyone had a wonderful time! 😁

📣 It was back to school for Jordan D'Arras and Katy Jarvis-Morgan this week. The pair spent their Monday morning at St George's CofE Community Primary School in Gainsborough, as part of the Aspirational Assemblies initiative, which the West Lindsey DC runs!

📣 This week, the GAP Better Futures Assemblies continued at Hemswell Cliff Primary School. They had a visit from Steve Robinson, who talked to the children about his career in the RAF around Defence Equipment & Support!

🎨 Following a successful Aspiration Assembly before the summer holidays, staff from Gelders returned to Warren Wood Academy, and worked with the children to produce this fantastic artwork. It's good to see painters and decorators of the future starting early! 😊

📣 In October, a selection of Y7, Y8 and Y9 students at Gainsborough Academy took part in a Careers/STEM day with the Royal Navy, where students learnt about life in the Royal Navy, roles and opportunities, and took part in a STEM Challenge.
