The destructive contempt for our planet is taking place at all levels. Two redundant oil drill ships at Peel Ports Hunterston, engines running, spewing emissions 24/7 for the past 7 months. There's meant to be a climate emergency in North Ayrshire Council @Glasgow_COP Scot Gov Climate

Great to see #EndSewagePollution making headlines this week. In 2018 we released a study about this issue and called on the government to make changes. Most of the seagrass sites we analysed were contaminated with sewage and livestock waste. theconversation.com/sewage-and-liv… Surfers Against Sewage

Can @xlinks_uk XLCC confirm where the energy production and subsea cable will be located in Morocco? We have been told Western Sahara but would like to know locations? Thank you

BP accused of dumping industrial waste in marine-protected area off Shetland. UK regulator gave oil firm clearance to drop thousands of tonnes of pipes and cables after drilling finished.🤬🤬🤬 #ExtinctionRebellion theguardian.com/business/2022/…

Our wee village beach is an amazing community space. Listen to the bairns excitement as they were visited by another inquisitive bottlenose dolphin yesterday.

Save Inchgreen, have a petition logged to renationalise the Clyde Port Authority. It’s currently owned by major developer Peel Ports. Having a commercial company also being a regulator for their own activities is obviously flawed. Clyde Coastal Community Councils petitions.parliament.scot/petitions/PE20…

🪸 Why has vital protection for Scotland's Marine Protected Areas been delayed? The Scottish Govt promised to implement management measures by March 2024. But they have just broken that promise. Our seas can't wait any longer. Tell your MSPs to act now: bit.ly/inshorecap

🐟 Scotland has a serious bycatch problem. Over 7000 tonnes of juvenile haddock were caught & discarded by bottom-trawlers in 2021. More support for low-impact & selective fishing from the Scottish Govt is key to protect fish stocks for the future. news.stv.tv/v/call-for-bet…

🪸 The Scottish Govt promised "urgent action" to protect our seas. But instead, its latest Biodiversity Strategy sets out further delays to overdue marine protection. While they dither & delay, damage to marine habitats continues. Time for real action. openseas.org.uk/news/greenwash…
