With LAD's 11-7 loss today @ STL, it moved the Padres into 1st place in the NL West. Per Elias Sports Bureau the last time the Padres have been in 1st place in the NL West after the first 13 games in a season was in 1998, the year they won the NL pennant. SD was 11-2 on April 13, 1998.

#Padres closer Kirby Yates has 10 saves in April, and one more save in this month would tie Mark Davis’ 11 (April, 1989) for the most saves of any Padre in April. The Padres save record for any single month in a season is Trevor Hoffman’s 12 (May, 2005).
