There were 9 #femicides in #Ontario last month, with victims ranging in age from 2 months to 75 years old. There have been 17 femicides in Ontario since Nov. 26th, 2023.

I'm very sad to learn that Dr Evan Stark has passed. His legacy in the domestic violence movement is immense. He developed the framework for what we now call Coercive Control & spent his life side-by-side with women fighting for better protections from male violence & control.💔

Very sad to hear that Prof Evan Stark, a leading expert on coercive control and other forms of violence and abuse of women in intimate relationships, has died. Evan was an expert witness in the Sally Challen
case. He was the epitome of a good man.

Our community is saddened to hear of the passing of one of the great ones, Evan Stark. He wrote about coercive control to end it in 2009 & just graced us w his powerful work on children. Between these books he spoke, shared and saved lives. So many of us are eternally grateful.

Evaluator in this case, who recommended custody to dad despite abuse allegations by mom, is in leadership role in AFCC.

The dad was awarded custody & now Adam, an otherwise healthy child, has died while in the father’s care. Please investigate fully Polk County Sheriff 🚔 Grady Judd Polk County Florida

Hopefully this decision sends a strong message to trial judges across the country. Can’t imagine the courage it takes to head back into another trial after this. Huge emotional/ financial cost.
