Here, women are used as ‘baby makers’, to be discarded and forgotten once the product has been delivered.

Aggrieved male entitlement. He was brought up to feel entitled to women and when that promise was not delivered upon, he avenged himself on women for daring to withhold his birthright - free and easy access to women.

When women are murdered at scale by men, year-in-year out, it's downright gaslighting at this point to view these horrific events as non-related or isolated incidents. These acts form part of a hateful ideology by some men who view women's lives as disposable.

This mass murder of women is a feature not a bug, of our global patriarchy.

Violent misogyny must be seen for the dangerous epidemic it is, and must be addressed with all the urgency of a global crisis.

Women know we are not safe from male violence anywhere.

Agree with others that this should be a wake-up call of the extent to which misogyny is rampant in our societies - a misogyny that continues to be directed at women predominantly based on their sex.

The first woman he targeted was a mum & a 9 month old baby. He killed five women and a man. The man was a security guard trying to protect women.

8 women are in hospital. He ran past men to stab women. He targeted women. They won’t want to say this but his actions tell the story
