FHO will continue mapping Fiji waters to ensure maritime safety & support Fijiโs blue economy
12 Fiji Navy officers & sailors, including 7 women are sea riders onboard Royal NZ Navy
HMNZS CANTERBURY as part of a joint HADR exercise
The sea riders will engage in basic seamanship, general ship operations, landing craft & helicopter operations while the ship is underway ๐ซ๐ฏโ๏ธ๐ณ๐ฟ
๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ช recently returned from a maritime surveillance patrol of Fiji's north & east sectors of the Exclusive Economic Zone & territorial waters
Several long-line & inshore fishing vessels were also boarded for compliance checks in our efforts to combat #IUU fishing
