In February, #HMNZSTeMana assisted with the rescue of a solo yachtsman near Great Barrier Island.

Our personnel have been awarded the Defence Meritorious Service Medal and Chief of Defence Force Commendations for their part in the rescue.

#HMNZSAotearoa has departed NZ to participate in the FPDA Exercise Bersama Lima in Malaysia, alongside #HMNZSTeMana .

The aim of the exercise is to practise maritime-based warfare, naval, airborne and amphibious operations and more.

STORY📰 Four of our sailors are supporting operations in the Middle East, as a part of the Combined Maritime Forces, CTF 150.

They played in role in more than 22 tonnes (estimated $NZ495m) of illicit drugs being seized and destroyed.
