I'm at the London launch event for Circular Economy Week this morning. Genuinely fascinating to learn about how we can all take action to move away from the "take-make-throw" linear model towards a more sustainable, circular system of re-using & re-purposing resources #CEweek2024

I found out today that new build development isn't subject to VAT, whereas retrofit and refurbishment pay the standard 20%!!! If we want to start making real progress on emissions & climate change, surely reversing these kind of perverse tax incentives is an obvious quick win...
