My University fee used to be around 22k per sem. HELB pays 8k, and all my mother had to pay was 14k per semester. It wasn't a struggle. Nowadays, you even wonder whether Ruto is deliberately sabotaging education or what not. Now it's 120k per sem for the same course with no HELB.
