.Defense Threat Reduction Agency recently partnered with Disaster Operations to train staff from 28 Kenyan government agencies on disaster response and emergency management. The workshops launched a new, three-year US-KE collaboration for first responders.

Kenya is vulnerable to natural hazards, like drought, floods, landslides, urban & forest fires, terrorism & fatal road accidents, An estimated 3 to 4 million people being affected annually. Two main hazards dominating Kenya’s disaster landscape are droughts & floods.
