Karen spans 14,000 acres. 32,000 citizens were counted in Karen-2019 census. There are about 7,000+ homes in Karen, giving the population of actual residents at about 28,000+ residents. Karen Langata District Association (KLDA) caters for the welfare of residents and has been doing so for the past 83 years!

The Karen Neighborhood was the first and still the only neighborhood in Nairobi to institute a Local Physical Development Plan (LPDP) in 2005. The LPDP dictates minimum plot size, maximum height of buildings, commercial zones, plot ratio etc. THREAD

We are holding tight in matters Urban Planning. The only Neighbourhood in Nairobi with a Local Physical Development Plan. We remain primarily residential and have set structures to keep it that way. We however advocate for the same across Nairobi. We cannot live in isolation.
