We have two ears and one mouth for a reason. Listen more than you speak. We learn a lot more by listening to others versus speaking what we know. There is a time to speak and there is a time to listen. #listenmore

These are all labels I placed on myself and knew how other people viewed me. In 2017, I consciously chose to drop these labels and not limit myself to how I saw myself or was seen by people. I started having open conversations with different people about race, gender & color. 1/4

These people were from all backgrounds and all over the world. The conversations were sometimes uncomfortable and difficult. I learned a lot about other people’s biases and even learned about some of my own. 2/4

These conversations were the catalyst that made me realize how big the world was & how it was my choice how I wanted to show up as a person. I have always been open & curious to understand why people had their beliefs. A lot of times, it’s just they don’t know any different. 3/4

So get curious and don’t be afraid to talk to someone that looks different from you. What I discovered through this process is we are all ONE and the same at the core of who we are. ✨ 4/4

We as adults are healing all the traumas of our childhood experiences and we all have some. Doesn’t matter if you had the best parents in the world. Everyone has some childhood experience they are healing. #healing #trauma #bekalmandtakecontrol

Healing is such an individual journey, it happens at a different time for everyone whenever they are ready for change. #bethechange #lovingkindness #healing

Healing is a continuous cycle we go through in our life as we grow in consciousness. As we resolve one pattern in our life, another pattern surfaces for us to unpack and unlearn. It’s a beautiful cycle! ✨💫 #cycleofhealing #selflove

Women don't be afraid to speak your mind and ask for what you need. So many of us grew up seeing our moms stay quiet to keep the peace. Its time to break the cycle and ask for what we want.✨

Travelling the world, I always searched for the purest experiences and met incredible souls along the way. During the quarantine, I missed that human connection. The universe brought the most incredible souls into my life. Grateful for all the souls I have met during quarantine.

Kindness is the most powerful currency in the world. Be kind to people & especially yourself. The kinder you become, the more positive experiences and incredible people you attract into your life. I lived my life by this. I am in awe of my experiences & people in my life.✨

Sometimes I want to be in a quaint home in nature, away from everyday life. I would read, journal, reflect, dance, go for walks in nature & meditate feeling content with my peaceful surrounding. I eventually would want meaningful human connection & will come back to the city.

Sit in silence with yourself more often, allow yourself to embrace the discomfort and feel the emotions. The hurt part of you is seeking healing, love, acceptance and forgiveness. When we meet ourselves exactly where we are, the more we return to love.
