The Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia is home to the highest tides in the world

This time lapse shows what resemble an authentic 'breath of the sea'

I would take the dormant subway retail and turn it into incubator spaces to help nurture entrepreneurs and launch ideas for local shops. An opportunity to provide small affordable spaces with access to lots of foot traffic.

Perfect Toronto emblem: beloved urban tree getting its roots crushed by careless utility contractors (who of course can’t block off any of the car space)

North American streets are hopelessly bloated. A constant waste of money to create places that are dangerous and ugly.

Claude Cormier's concept for Ordnance: a swimming pool, two restaurants, a belvedere. This could have been perhaps Toronto's best public space.

Urban design work by Karakusevic Carson Regent Park in Toronto. A ground plane that is active, engaging and basically car-free. Exemplary.

Honestly, this City is so bad at public realm design and implementation. We consistently fail to get the fundamentals right.

Alex Bozikovic Olivia Chow Key point Alex Bozikovic 'here is where the new heads of parks and planning need to collaborate. Toronto could have a future as a much denser metropolis with a rich array of common spaces that provide public luxury. City staff must be prepared to dream this up, and to deliver it'

Alex Bozikovic City of Toronto PFR It is shocking that this is allowed to continue year after year. Seems to be a definite culture problem at City of Toronto PFR

Mayor Olivia Chow needs to be involved with the hire of the new head of Parks Forestry and Recreation. There is an opportunity for a hard reset.
