Ms. Reilly reveals that her boss, UNHRC chief Eric Tistounet, made up a requirement—just for UN Watch—that speech texts must be given in advance, and ordered staff to delete us from lists, or to suddenly cut off the NGO part of a debate when it was our turn to take the floor. /6

Now here's where it gets really weird. It's a 2007 exchange, from a trove of emails leaked from others on his team. It starts when Mr. Tistounet learns one morning that I had been briefly arrested in the US in a case of mistaken identity. “You made my day,” he emails the team. /7

Minutes later, Mr. Tistounet tells his UNHRC staff that if a country ever lodges a frivolous Interpol Red Notice against me, “We may forget to raise our usual objection to the Security Unit” so they could “exclude him from the list of those authorized to enter our premises.” /8

Bear in mind: Mr. Tistounet at this point knows very well from the news article emailed to him that I had been the victim of wrongful police action, and “was cleared of all wrongdoing” in what was a case of “mistaken arrest.” (For full story on that: unwatch.org/needham-apolog…) /9

It didn't end there. Not only did the UN Human Rights Council chief of staff instruct his team to enable any frivolous Interpol arrest warrant that he dreamed might be lodged against me, but, two days later, he planned more dirty tricks—this time to try and defame me. /10

When he's sent a photo of me being arrested with handcuffs, Mr. Tistounet replies—to his 50-strong UNHRC staff—“It is a wonder come true.” Then he plots with the team—as they previously discussed—how to defame me with images of what he knows to be a case of mistaken identity. /11
