Very proud of the young people I met in Turkana💙 Manuel is gaining STEM skills to pursue his dream of becoming an engineer. Cheche impressed us with her passion for photography at the FilmAid skills Hub. With continued support, they’re already shaping the future they imagine.

It was uplifting to meet children at the Kalobeyei refugee reception centre. They’re receiving protection & support thanks to dedicated teams on the ground, partners & donors. But this is not enough. Together, we need to do more to ensure every child has the future they deserve.

On #InternationalDayOfFamilies, we celebrate all, especially the resilient ones holding each other together. In Kakuma, I was deeply moved by a child-headed household full of love and courage. They dream of becoming doctors, pilots, and more. They deserve our best.

Recently in Bentiu, South Sudan, I saw for myself the impact of reduced funding at the community level. The health post was padlocked. Closed. Peter, a Boma Health Worker is a lifeline, but without facilities & services connecting to the wider health system, children are at risk.

So inspiring to see the impact of the climate-resilient water system in Kangagetei. Supported by UNICEF, KOICA.ICC & partners, it’s providing clean water for families, farms, & livestock. It’s encouraging progress and with steady support, we can help make it last #ForEveryChild
