🚨Our work on multi-modal, single-cell pooled CRISPR screens to study GWAS variant-to-function, STING-seq, is now out in Science Magazine! Read on for 6⃣ of the main findings from our study, led by myself and co-advised by Neville Sanjana and Tuuli Lappalainen! 🎉 science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

I really like Mendeley Desktop's automatic BibTeX syncing feature. Now that Mendeley Reference Manager has superseded Mendeley Desktop, I am wondering if/when Elsevier | Mendeley will add this feature to Reference Manager. Is anyone else still using Mendeley Desktop for this reason?

We share our thoughts on how #datascience education can use + evolve w/ #LLMs arxiv.org/pdf/2307.02792… We give examples/resources of LLMs facilitating tasks like data wrangling, viz, coding + tutoring. Need to teach how to creatively use LLM and critically evaluate its outputs.🧐

Our latest computational model to unlock the power of single-cell perturbations (e.g., Perturb-seq), by i. quantifying partial perturbations; ii. performing dosage analysis of genetic perturbations; and iii. identifying biological determinants for perturbation heterogeneity (1/n)

Delighted to share new work from our lab: MultiPerturb-seq 🎛️❌📥📤 Over the last few years, we've been combining CRISPR screens with multimodal readouts of gene expression (RNA) and chromatin accessibility (DNA). In this study, we bring those together within the same cells.
