If school districts would take time to ask teachers, if you were to think about leaving, what would it take for you to stay. They would quickly find what they need to focus on to improve teachers working conditions.

As a teacher I tend to be pessimistic, but I’m trying to change that! I am going to be posting a picture that puts me in a great mood whenever I feel beaten down! This first one is all the amazing parents that came out to volunteer with our winter celebration! WashingtonElementary

Sometimes, when addressing a class, I go, "Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears." It's funny to me to quote Shakespeare to kindergarteners. Then I overheard another teacher address the class, saying, "Friends!" And a kid told her, "Don't forget Romans and countrymen!"

What a cool philosophy!!!

Talk about real world learning in this moment! Not only are these students showing and learning amazing empathy, but having to “sell” this to local businesses and companies! Setting goals, planning… goodness this is amazing learning for an incredible cause!
