Sept 2020 me my first semester in grad school couldn't imagine the therapist he would become.

I'm glad to see the research published. It supports my clinical observations using Image Transformation Therapy and Flash Technique. I'm hopeful we can further develop these therapies to enhance positive outcomes.

I was recently digging through some old journals of mine and discovered my first 5 year plan that I wrote in Jan of 2020. I blew all of my goals and expectations out of the water. The lesson learned: I should really not underestimate myself so much.

Two things I wish I learned in grad school: 1. Intentional breathing helps manage stress and anxiety. 2. Not all breathing techniques are equally effective; some may be counterproductive.

Peace from conflict is achievable only through communication. Losing the ability to communicate eliminates the sole path to true peace.

One of the greatest tools I learned in my youth through martial arts was controlling my breathing to manage myself. I lost touch with this tool in my late 20s and early 30s. Recently, I rediscovered it, and it has again become a critical tool for grounding myself.
