You can believe all of these things: Cops are the enforcement arm of the State. They can essentially kill, kidnap and harass with impunity. That is a huge problem. Looting and rioting is despicable anti civilized behavior and probably the worst way to get public support.

If we were a species that used facts to form opinions, the 75-year white old man that Buffalo police pushed to the ground with apparent disregard for his well-being would make us think differently about what problem we need to fix. Don't expect that to happen.

The central problem with police isn’t about race. It’s about monopoly. We need some sort of defense protection. We need some group to hold violent criminals accountable. So let’s defund the monopoly and allow competition, just like we do with countless other vital services.
