I've seen some interesting outfits at track meets, but there was a kid at the Michigan Track & Field / Cross Country HS Meet this weekend who ran the 800m in a JJ McCarthy football jersey and a headband tied around his head.

Best news on realignment: we will be back at the 6A/5A-Region III track meet next year! As the old song says: "If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere" 😉

Fantastic 600m by Brandon Miller in Albuquerque last night. 1:14.03 to beat Isaiah Harris by over a second. Came through in 48.66 and closed with a 25.48. Only Donavan Brazier (1:13.77) has ever run faster indoors.

Went to an indoor meet at Washburn in KS this weekend. HS, age group and masters... in the brief time I was there, the most impressive performances were the 71 yo female pole vaulter and the 75 yo man in the 800m. Made me feel like a real slacker. #goals

Quick question for the Texas HS coaches out there... how are you feeling about the season so far? Especially with State (et al) being pushed forward a week and spring break around the corner for everyone...

Took a few kids to Michigan HS Showcase this weekend. So proud of my boy for taking the mile. He thought he and another were going to take it out faster but had to pass and go it solo after 3 1/2 laps. Teammate took the 2 mile. Anderson Trojan Track AISDAthletics
