Delighted to welcome Minister for Health, Jennifer Carroll MacNeill Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD to the site of the new Letterkenny Community Hospital today. The new 110 bed unit is a major enhancement of services for older people in Donegal.

Minister Carroll MacNeill also visited Letterkenny University Hospital today where she visited the Emergency Department and the Haematology/Oncology ward which has been newly restructured to enhance patient care and experience.

During her visit to Errigal Chronic Disease Management Hub today, Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD also met with staff and patients to hear about new developments and patient feedback and experience.

Today, Minister Carroll MacNeill Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD turned the sod on the site of the new 42 ward block development at SUH. A key priority for SUH is to increase and expand patient facilities to meet the growing demand for acute hospital services in our region.

The second CT scanner was officially opened by Minister Carroll MacNeill in SUH today as part of her visit. The service will be operational from May 5 2025 and will greatly add to the diagnostic capacity at the hospital; reducing waiting times for patients.

The first brick of the new 90 bedded Community Hospital in Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim was laid by Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill. This being a major investment in health and social care for older people across county Leitrim.
