The HSE new RSV immunisation programme has protected nearly 12.5K infants so far this year. Since Sept 1st, almost 95% reduction in hospitalisations in target group of infants compared to last year and > 90% reduction in ICU admissions. Comhgairdeas leis na foirne uilig.

There are currently high levels of influenza circulating. Today there are 984 patients with influenza in hospitals. Outbreaks cause further harm and it is essential not to visit hospitals or care facilities when you have symptoms of respiratory infection. Míle buíochas.

Thanks to RCSI and National Office of Clinical Audit for hosting great conference today. Impressive attendance and quality of presentations demonstrate strong profile of clinical audit throughout our healthcare system. Clincial audit is bedrock of improvement and good governance in healthcare.
