A relief to hear this, this is not over. Misinformation has taken us to a dangerous place.

It's good to see an uncompromising but future-focused position from Jacinda Ardern. There must be no normalising of the violent, racist, dishonest extremists that sucked people into an orbit of self-destructive delusion outside Parliament.

Jacinda Ardern These people hung nooses outside our Parliament. They threatened to kill journalists. They assaulted and harassed children. They built a urinal or shower block on a war memorial. They scrawled anti-semitic hate. They bullied working people. They attacked marae.

Jacinda Ardern They flushed sewage into our harbour. They hammered nails into a pohutukawa tree. They set fire to a kids' playground. They set fires on a war memorial. Now, they're lying again, spinning wild theories to project & deflect, creating imaginary enemies to blame, not themselves.

A good protest takes responsibility for the collective action. I'm not hearing that from #Convoy2022NZ

Kia ora @grantrobertson1! This is what peaceful protest at Parliament looks like. Very different from the incoherent rage and violence of recent weeks. It's precious and important and just plain good that the people of Te Whanganui-a-Tara can gather on our Parliament's lawn.

It must be a uniquely gut wrenching experience to be one of the journalists who received death threats at the violent very stupid occupation of Parliament’s lawn and now watch your colleagues and editors publish sanitised drivel whitewashing the people who threatened to kill you.
