They desperately want us to believe that autism and ADHD are now being 'overdiagnosed'. The alternative is to admit that for generations, neurodivergent people have been systematically ignored and failed.

The way things are going -- my prediction for #send appeals is that before December 2024 we will be seeing appeal timetables of up to 18 months.

All universal theories of autism mimic a biomedical model. They treat traits as symptoms and posit a univeral underlying cause.

Ten years since the Children & Families Act 2014 reformed the system for supporting children & young people with SEND. They are still the right reforms - but the system needs to be made more accountable and inclusive.
