Andy 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🚑 This is a good post. I think many paramedics believe conveyance causes no harm when it really can. Still many who practice defensive rather than defensible paramedicine. Trusts need to start making people feel safe to make appropriate conveyance decisions.

Most people use the term, "luddite" incorrectly. A luddite wasn't against technology, as you all seem to think they were, but against needless technology ruining people's livelihoods and churning out bad quality shite. Given the state of 2025, we should all aspire to be luddites.

An interesting read - Its clear the RN faces major choices, akin to those of 1960s, within next few decades, as it faces a pinchpoint in 2060s over how, or if, it can fund CASD and Carrier replacements. Will CVA01 happen again?

If you're a pension-age couple with a combined income of just under £70,000 a year, the government will give you taxpayers' money to pay your energy bills with. If you're a family earning a fraction of that amount and struggling to keep your children warm this winter, no help

When a patient presents with mottling among their constellation of signs, symptoms, and labs, there is a look that team members give each other that we've all seen. It's not a positive look. Here is some data reinforcing our intuition. 🎩 tip to the authors.

Royal Navy & RFA status update. Was a few months out of date so had to update the whole thing, so let me know if you spot anything and I'll repost with corrections. Still only took an hour to do completely.

If true (big if!), then this feels wrong. We face a genuine moment of danger, and threats unparalelled in decades to our security. Even I, as an eternal optimist, cannot find any plausible spin to explain or justify this as a benefit for Defence.

Mourners have paid tribute to the man dubbed the "father of the paramedic profession" at his funeral in Hove. Prof Douglas Chamberlain, 94, is credited with professionalising paramedics when he trained the first 6 "ambulance men" in Brighton in March 1971 bbc.com/news/articles/…

I really hope this incident today produces a tangible shift in resource prioritisation towards force protection of critical assets. There are viable short term solutions, but we need a long term change in mindset

Dr Boyle, speaking exclusively to the The Telegraph, said: “One of the big missions is to have a shift from sickness to prevention, and that’s a perfectly sensible idea – everyone would agree with it. But people are still going to get sick, and need emergency care. I’m not hearing
