Hey guys, I've created a GoFundMe for UK billboards. I've just chosen an arbitary target of £5,000 but as stated on the GFM, ALL decisions will be made with Twitter polls and the target can be amended at any time and I won't make any profits from this. gofundme.com/f/billboards-f…

Aside from virology, most important but neglected aspect of ME research is epidemiology. The US's premiere epidemiologists, at CDC, blew their ME epi investigation in '85. Then they told the press that the MDs who reported the outbreak to CDC were hysterics + publicity seekers.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to study ME/CFS and chronic Lyme disease. We are grateful for the exceptional generosity of Emily Fairbairn and Carol Sirot - two formidable women who understand the urgency of funding this research. Thank you! 🙏 Prof. Akiko Iwasaki Harlan Krumholz

Would long Covid or ME/CFS patients pay £285 ($350) to cover the cost of their own sample in a biomarker study? We will be able to receive our results which will be explained The biomarker has very high performance at small scale. It should only get stronger with more samples

The hit-and-trial method of therapy, where you read a few papers and decide to try a particular drug, will never work. Research is the key to treatment. However, funds are needed to conduct further research. Every successful experiment gives a satisfying answer but opens up ten

The European Parliament passed a resolution to support ME Research, which was a huge win for many patients and patient organizations. However, for several years, there has been no funding for ME at the European level. Our project cleared the evaluation and has been placed on the

First look at our novel research findings in #LongCOVID and #MECFS: Our initial data shows elevated Arginase-1 (ARG1) in many patients compared to HC. While we need more control data for statistical significance, this pattern aligns with known disease mechanisms and symptoms 🧵

Wild that the MILD end of the #MECFS spectrum is losing 50% of your functional capacity. 50%!! We desperately need to better communicate that to folks who don’t have this disease because they hear “mild” and assume it’s NBD when it’s actually a sizeable shrinking of your world.

Novel Research Findings 🔬❕ 47% of ME/CFS patients showed elevated α-NAGA (nagalase) levels compared to controls Although the overall difference wasn’t statistically significant (p=0.1704), we will focus analysis within this subgroup & expand the study with more participants🧵
