Remember 2 months ago when Wales was screwed over by the UK Gov? Well despite lobbying by the Welsh Gov the Treasury have refused to row back on their decision. Therefore Wales will have to go into its reserves. This will not happen in England. 'A partnership in power?'

The new Oxford-Cambridge line has been designated an England-Wales project, meaning Wales will receive no additional funding to invest in our own railway services. There can be no justification for this whatsoever. nation.cymru/news/hs2-all-o…

Spencer Harris (@tada1973) 's Twitter Profile Photo

It is outrageous. England benefits, Scotland benefits, Northern Ireland benefits but Wales is denied fair funding. This is a fairness not a political post. The UK Government must change this or the Welsh Government must pressure for it to be changed.

The UK Treasury has screwed Wales again! They have now classed a railway line running for Oxford to Cambridge as an "England and WALES" project. This robs Wales over £300m+ whereas Scotland and NI get their cash. It's a disgrace that this is still happening after the HS2

My grandad died of emphysema from being down the pit struggling for every breath. Having seen that, I find the attitude “you have low paid life limiting manual graft in Wales” whilst the investment in youth to have more knowledge and opportunity goes elsewhere galling

"I just wanted to show my #Jets teammates, show the coaches how much I'm bought into this. I want to win. I want to be a part of changing the organization. I feel like Aaron Glenn, his whole coaching staff, & Darren Mougey are doing a great job of changing the culture."- Sauce

The more you look at it, the more the spending review looks like a bad deal for Wales in terms of rail. Over 4 years Wales gets £348 million (not even a pop share of non-HS2 rail spending). This is only £108 million (45%) more than spending on a single station in Leeds...

Treasury minister tells Wales to "be grateful" for the money given to it over rail funding. It shows total disconnect with reality. For the record, the Treasury's own figures show Wales is getting £350m compared to Scotland's £4bn!
