We have another funded #PhD project from University of Leicester on protein phosphorylation at the intersection of transcription and DNA repair! Deadline on 20th January 2023. Feel free to contact me if interested! findaphd.com/phds/project/c…

Continuing on the theme of targeting Gene Regulation in cancer, I'm happy to report we're releasing a study today on co-targeting key transcriptional CDKs, CDK12 & P-TEFb, which promote Pol II elongation and have emerged as prominent players in cancer. 1/7 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Excited to share this tremendous team’s work on CDK13! Thanks to everyone who made this possible! Dr. Len Zon, Paul Boutz, Phil Sharp, Richard Young, AdelmanLab, Matthias Geyer, @NCIChanock, @kbrowngenetics, Brian J. Abraham, David Liu, Ben Martin, Tongwu Zhang doi.org/10.1126/scienc…

Happy and grateful that I'm starting my own research group, "Developmental Regulation of Gene Dosage", CBI Toulouse 🧬🐹🧫🧪 thanks to an installation grant Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale, a @INSB_CNRS position, and support from the many good mentors and mentees I'm lucky to have ✨ #Xploring

We are hiring!! An ANR-funded PhD position is available in our lab to study regulation of transcription during neuronal differentiation. Join us in Toulouse! CBI Toulouse ANR - Agence nationale de la recherche To apply : emploi.cnrs.fr/Offres/Doctora… Please RT, deadline on 3rd September 2023

📯 Our work on a new core splicing factor is out in Molecular Cell! FUBP1 is important for splicing of long introns. Multivalent interactions support spliceosome assembly and intron bridging. Great collab with @Sattler_lab & Luck_lab. Check it out here: bit.ly/4552p18

Join us! A postdoc position between my lab and Quezada Lab has become available at UCL Cancer Institute in London. Please help us characterise the molecular mechanisms through which anti-tumour immune responses are controlled. To apply ucl.ac.uk/work-at-ucl/se… Deadline 14 Sept Please RT!

What happens when a CDK moves out of their lane? Our review on the overlap between cell-cycle and transcriptional CDKs is out now! Wiley Interdisciplinary Reviews wires.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/wr…

Are promoters just landing pads for the transcriptional machinery? No! They can be key regulatory centers during development. Vivek Ramalingam shows this in some beautiful new work published in Nature Communications. Thread below: (1/6) doi.org/10.1038/s41467…

Friends, Romans, Transcriptionmen, this is not to be missed. Free access live and online. October 10th Université de Genève

I am so excited to share the very first preprint from our lab! This is a productive collaboration work with Michael Tellier lab, がんゲノム動態プロジェクト@がん研, and Shilatifard Lab NELF controls Pol II transcription termination and DNA replication. Check it out!👇 biorxiv.org/cgi/content/sh…
