I don’t think that any child reading #enidblyton latched on to the racist/xenophobic elements of her stories. These parts should be viewed in an historical context and perhaps a revision of some of her works or complete obliteration of others, is necessary.

However, cancelling Enid Blyton entirely would be such a mistake. She created magical worlds that readers fell into completely and without prejudice. Many of her school stories and adventure stories promoted tolerance, courage, gender equality and fair play.
