We fail to understand the suspension of surgeon James Gilbert for 8 months by the MPTS for >10yrs of proven sexual misconduct. We stand with the witnesses in asking the PSA and GMC to appeal the MPTS ruling. Please share

DAUK has taken the rare and serious step of writing to the Professional Standards Authority (Professional Standards Authority) regarding the MPTS decision on James Gilbert. We've urged the PSA to refer this case to the High Court, viewing the 8-month suspension as woefully inadequate.

And here he breaks down while explaining the absolute trauma experienced by smaller hospitals in particular - the "healthier" ICU patients were transferred out, leaving them coping with so much death. They felt so alone.

Here Prof Fong explains how every nurse he met was traumatised by watching patients die, being only able to hold up ipads to their relatives and how it went against their normal practice of trying to ensure a dignified death, with family there.
