First day at the UChicagoHVC Crown Point HF clinic! Kudos to the UChicago Medicine team for setting up an beautiful, state-of-the-art facility. Every patient I saw today was breathless, even the compensated ones.
Electrophysiologist Dr. Andrew Beaser and his colleagues recently launched pulsed field ablation (PFA) at UChicago Medicine. PFA is an innovative new technology which uses electrical fields to treat and neutralize atrial tissue that can give rise to atrial fibrillation (AFib).
