It's been great meeting with postdocs about the faculty position application process! Put together some collected thoughts on the process here. Main thing I've noticed: work on describing your research and *why it's important*. Concrete examples within. docs.google.com/document/d/1Ye…
New preprint from our group in collaboration with Denis Wirtz, led by Alicia Braxton and Ashley Kiemen. We report 3D genomic mapping of human pancreatic tissue, allowing quantification of number and size of PanINs with assessment of genetic relationships. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
#OpenAccess in Cancer Discovery from PascaLab timofran Filip Bednar Rogel and Blondy Center for Pancreatic Cancer Analysis of donor pancreata defines the transcriptomic signature and microenvironment of early neoplastic lesions aacrjournals.org/cancerdiscover… Unique partnership with Gift of Life Michigan enabled this data
Excited to share our systematic review and meta-analysis on cyst fluid biomarkers in pancreatic cysts. Many thanks to Kevin Jamouss, Elham Afghani, Anne Marie Lennon, Aatur Singhi, MD PhD , Laura DeLong Wood for the great collaboration! sciencedirect.com/science/articl… 🧵1/4
#AACRPan23 kicks off with Yeh Lab giving the welcome remarks. 700 attendees (!!) making this the largest meeting ever & 350 posters highlighting the best of #PancreaticCancer research. Welcome everyone!! Chris Iacobuzio Rosie Sears Rick Buck AACR

New preprint from Monte Winslow's Lab Stanford Cancer Institute Modeling the genomic complexity of human cancer using Cas12a mice biorxiv.org/content/10.110… Ability to rapidly generate #LungCancer #PancreaticCancer with multiple tumor suppressor gene losses driven by Cas12a-directed guides (Smad4,
Do check out this interesting work by Emily Shuldiner on how aging impacts tumor development and suppression of lung adenocarcinoma. Contrary to popular opinion that cancers increase with aging, we demonstrate that age related changes in cells suppress the growth of tumors.
Why cancer risk declines sharply in old age nature.com/articles/d4158… Thrilled to have been a part of this fascinating work by Emily Shuldiner from Monte Winslow's Lab exploring the relationship between #aging and #lungcancer. Thanks Nature News & Views for covering the preprint. Dmitri Petrov
Exciting science by Jackie from Monte Winslow's Lab identifying functional #epigenetic #tumorsuppressive complexes with relevance to human #lungcancer that I am glad to have contributed to!
New study in CMGH from Bednar lab Filip Bednar Rogel and Blondy Center for Pancreatic Cancer Mouse models for #PancreaticCancer are affected by the cre-driver used to promote KRASG12D activation cmghjournal.org/article/S2352-… Important if you are using an inducible driver (Ptf1 versus Mist1 or Ela1) for KRASG12D

If you conduct or use single cell RNA-seq data from both humans and mice in your lab, this preprint releases a very useful tool called scVital. Developed by Doron Betel (with a cameo by Tuomas Tammela) scVital enables cross species interrogation and integration of cell states, and is
