Couldn’t agree more. Now all interviewers think they can go viral by barking the same question dozens of times. And, in this case, sadly, they’re right

Last night Parliament had the opportunity to vote to support a ceasefire and the release of hostages in Gaza. Sadly, the Labour party is in chaos and is failing to deliver what constituents are demanding. Is your MP on the list? #CeasefireNowInGaza

Friday - ICJ rules there is a plausible case that Israel is committing a genocide in Gaza; Kate Osamor references the genocide in Gaza Saturday - UK suspends aid to Palestinian refugees Sunday - Israeli ministers attend far-right conference calling for settlements & ethnic

The Labour right can’t stand it when someone like Owen Jones takes a courageous moral stand like this. It holds up a mirror and exposes just how vacuous and self-serving their politics is

If the yellow line is where we need to be to not be completely fucked, what difference does it make whether we end up at the blue or red line? I wonder where the line would be if Bernie had won in 2016… guess we’ll never know 😔

The exchange between Grace and Nandy is fascinating. Nandy effectively asking Grace, a commentator and author, to “take responsibility” for Labour’s general election performance in 2019 by Nandy, a Labour MP since 2010. Left-wing pundits are scrutinised more than politicians!

Antisemitism deserves to be treated with intention & care. This pro Israeli account retweeting a Jewish person & calling them a Nazi is not it. So called "dossiers" in newspapers released on same day that political nominations close is not it. We all deserve better than this.

Labour getting a lower vote share than 2019 obviously doesn’t make this a worse result, obviously. It does though make it seem particularly unfair that 2019 led to a consensus that the Corbyn movement were all freaks and weirdos with nothing to say to the country.

Maitlis epitomises centrist groupthink which can’t see the Left as politics protagonists in their own right. They’re always reduced to non-playable characters who exist as a minor nuisance to the “real politicians”

The Green Party has laid down the first 10 steps the new Labour government must take in their first 100 days to show they’re serious about changing Britain ⤵️ What do you want to see them do first?

🧵 I don’t think many of the media or people on platforms like this understand quite what Keir Starmer has done. Parliamentary democracy is designed to have a number of safeguards to stop party leaders behaving as despots: one of those is limits of the use of the whip. (1/9)

So the ‘woke’-bashing ⁦Mail+⁩ lays into ⁦National Trust⁩ again. For doing a bit more to tackle climate change. To be clear we are not banning meat or anything like it, just having a look at making some sensible reductions. RT or like if you stand with us.

Watching Gen Z men veer right hits different for Millennials. We lived through Columbine, 9/11, the Iraq War, 2008 crash, 2016 election, covid, abortion bans, & now this. We watched institutions repeatedly fail us while older generations selfishly protected the status quo. 🧵1/

Out of all the left US pundits online Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian stood out by not gaslighting us into predicting a Kamala landslide. Still respect shows like Majority Report and Secular Talk ([email protected]) but TYT had their finger on the pulse. Squash the beef and start working together again!

BREAKING After a debate in Parliament, the Government has accepted my Private Members’ Water Bill. As of today: • Above-inflation water bill hikes suspended • Dividend payouts halted • Citizens’ Assembly on water ownership confirmed Democratic control of water is here!
