On his mission to Tanzania, World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus met with 🇺🇳 Country Team this morning, commending their dedication to advancing health. This comes as Tanzania confirms its first case of Marburg virus—a reminder of the need for continued vigilance and cooperation. 🤝



Following the #Marburg outbreak declaration by President Samia Suluhu, efforts to control it have been intensified. Thanks to Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, World Health Organization (WHO) is releasing US$3 million from the Contingency Fund for Emergencies to support timely containment. #HealthForAll
